Offering equal opportunities to all its students is a priority for IE University. Enabling the expression of knowledge in the most appropriate way for each person plays a fundamental role in leveraging the many benefits of a diverse environment.

Hence, our University offers students with SEN (Special Educational Needs) special conditions in terms of curriculum and/or the way in which their academic performance is gauged, when such needs can hinder learning and hamper performance. These difficulties must be accredited by qualified professionals, and clearly stated in official reports based on objective and standardized tests. The student who wishes to benefit from these special conditions must provide the University with the pertinent report. All information provided will be confidential and will be used exclusively for this purpose.

In order to apply for these special conditions to be taken into consideration, students must complete an online questionnaire after being admitted to IE University. The data provided through this survey are housed in a secure, encrypted and monitored archive. Our SEN department will evaluate the documentation provided and will issue a proposal for curricular adaptations on a provisional basis. This proposal will only become official after interviewing the student at the beginning of the academic year.

The online questionnaire is hosted in the cloud using Microsoft Azure technology. Thanks to its encryption, identity and authorization services, information is protected both inside and outside the organization. Additionally, the survey can be accessed through multiple channels (smartphones, tablets and PCs/laptops).
