Last 24th, an interview between AON's CIO, Pablo Montoliu, and our CIO, Carlos Garriga, was broadcasted live from the IE Tower.

This interview, “InnoDay: Education and Technology”, is part of a series called InnoDays, organised by AON, a well-known multinational company, leader in risk consulting and insurance management.

Carlos had the opportunity to present our Institution, its history, its wide academic offer, its international positioning and its leitmotiv based, among other pillars, on innovation. 

He explained the importance of adapting technologies to the teaching methodology; and that, together with our long experience in online education, they were the keys to success in times of pandemic. Also, he spoke about the implementation of the hybrid education model, which is still in use today.

When asked about his position on the new trends in AI, Carlos said he was in favour of them, as long as the students use them in a critical way, and they demonstrate that they have really understood the academic knowledge.

Finally, he discussed IE University's use of immersive technologies in education as a world leader.
