IE participates in Eduroam
"Open your laptop and you're connected".

Now that we are going on summer holidays, we are very happy to present Eduroam, which we hope you will find useful.

Eduroam (“education roaming”) is the worldwide secure mobility service developed for the academic and research community. It allows students, researchers and staff of participating institutions to have Internet connectivity on their own campus and when visiting other participating institutions. Its slogan is “Open your laptop and you’re connected”.

In Spain, this initiative is part of RedIRIS, project supported by Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades. Among these Spanish academic institutions that have achieved an unique space for mobility, and after a 6-month project, IE also participates!!

Eduroam has rapidly expanded and is now available with tens of thousands of hotspots in nearly 90 countries across the world and 26 emerging pilot locations.

IE Meta XR Day was an incredible event showcasing the latest innovations in immersive technologies for education and work. The day was packed with informative talks, captivating demonstrations and plenty of opportunities to connect with XR experts and enthusiasts.
Last Friday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Dom Barnard, co-founder of VirtualSpeech, to IE University. Dom spoke about the transformative role of AI-powered VR training in higher education, learning and development, and the future of work.
