We are very pleased to announce that today, April 14th, a series of enhancements in the Adobe Connect virtual classroom system go live.
Now the links to the virtual classrooms are unique by section and subject, when before these links were associated with physical classrooms.
This has significant benefits: classroom planning is no longer required; potential issues can be resolved in advance; Adobe Connect views can be configured for various scenarios; full access to all the advanced features of Adobe Connect; access to videoconferences is easier for students and faculty; and information can be shared and kept within the classroom more securely.
We have enabled more than 2,000 new links to virtual classrooms this academic year.
Faculty can enjoy “host” permissions and new features such as breakout rooms and polls.
The links will be available on the Virtual Campus, https://campus.ie.edu/: in the section and subject in particular, a section called "Videoconference" has been created in the menu.
The quick guides are updated on our website:
Faculty
Students
In addition, we have provided a link to self-check the connection and configuration of Adobe Connect, available both on Campus and in the guides: https://ieuniversity.adobeconnect.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm
We would like to thank the Learning Innovation, Planning and IT departments, in particular our Atenea and Systems teams, for their efforts.
