Improvement in our RedIris connectivity service

From our Networks and Infrastructures Area, we are happy to share with you the improvement of the Internet connection through RedIris in all IE offices.

From our Networks and Infrastructures Area, we are happy to share with you the improvement of the Internet connection through RedIris in all IE offices. From now on, we will see an increase in the capacity – multiplied by 10 – of one of our redundant Internet output lines, namely RedIris.
RedIris is the Spanish academic and research network, funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation and included in its map of Singular Scientific-Technical Facilities (ICTS).

Thanks to this extension in our connectivity through RedIris, we improve the user experience by minimising possible saturations of the Internet output and we give access to more advanced communications services specifically designed for the scientific and university community; among them, Eduroam, RedSara, SinMalos, ExpressRoute, DirectConnect, etc.
